The Mountbatten’s GAE Visa Sponsorship is built for professionals who are ready to take their careers international. Unlike our traditional work placement programs, we do not place you — you secure your own role with a UK-based host organization. We provide the visa sponsorship and compliance framework to support a professional placement anywhere in the UK for up to 12 months — while you bring the ambition, experience, and opportunity. You secure the role. We enable the journey.

Placement Requirements

To participate in the program, your placement must meet the following criteria:

  • Self-sourced — You identify and secure your own host organization. The Host Organization must be registered on Companies House for at least 12 months to qualify.UK-based — Your placement can be located anywhere in the United Kingdom
  • Compliant — Your placement must be supernumerary (not replacing the role of a permanent employee), have a training plan in place and comply with UK employment regulations, including UK National Minimum Wage and Working Time legislation –
  • Duration — Placements can vary in length from 1 to 12 months.

The Placement Process

  • 1. Secure your placement

    Approach prospective host organizations that match your skills, qualifications, and professional goals. Interview and obtain a confirmed placement offer.

  • 2. Verify compliance

    Before proceeding, Mountbatten will vet your host organization to confirm that your placement meets regulatory and UK wage and Working Time requirements to ensure a smooth path forward.

  • 3. Visa and arrival preparation

    With your placement approved, we’ll issue your Certificate of Sponsorship, guide you through the visa process, and prepare you for your arrival in the UK. With your visa in hand, you’re ready to begin your placement and your UK experience begins.
