If you meet our eligibility criteria and have secured a confirmed placement with a UK-based host organization, we would like to hear from you.
To apply, create your my.mountbatten account, prepare your resume, and tell us why the Mountbatten Program is the right vehicle for this chapter of your career.
What happens next
We assess applications on a rolling basis and aim to provide a decision within 14 working days of your application being submitted and payment received. We recommend applying as early as possible to allow sufficient time for visa processing ahead of your intended start date.
What to expect during the application process
1. Apply
Upload your resume, submit two work references, share what you hope to achieve on your year in an international city, and pay your application fee.
2. Introductory Call
We will review your application and be in touch to arrange a conversation with the Mountbatten team. During this conversation we will learn more about you, your background, and your confirmed placement. You will also be asked to provide relevant supporting documentation so we can move your application forward.
3. Placement Process
We will work with you and your host organization to confirm your placement details, gather any required documentation, and verify that all compliance requirements are met.
4. Visa
We'll work with you to coordinate your visa paperwork. We will issue your Certificate of Sponsorship and guide you through each step of the process, ensuring you know exactly what is needed and are fully prepared for your visa appointment.
5. Pack Your Bags
Congratulations — with your visa approved, you are ready to begin your placement in the UK. we’ll support you as you prepare for your arrival in the UK.
