Current Role:  Senior Account Executive at Forrester

What and where did you study before your Mountbatten internship?

I studied BS Marketing at Arizona State University.

What made you apply for the Mountbatten program?

Friend Referral

Describe your sponsor company and your role within it.

I worked with Forrester Research as a marketing intern. I planned regional marketing events for prospecting and growth opportunities with existing and prospective clients. These events included breakfast presentations, dinner events, online webinars, etc. We hosted these events in London, Paris, Frankfurt and more. I worked very closely with the sales teams to help them build leads and eventually close for additional growth or new business.

What was the highlight/most memorable moment of your working experience during this year?

Meeting new people, experiencing a new culture and getting my foot in the door for real world experience.

Please share a little wisdom/philosophy that you acquired during your internship:

Don’t be shy – make friends, meet people, ask questions and learn about their culture as much as you can. Take risks!

If you could change anything about your internship, what would it be?

What happened after completing the year – what did you do next?

I was lucky enough to get hired full time by Forrester in San Francisco as a Marketing Associate.

Where are you now in your working life, and what do you do?

I am still at Forrester and on to my 8th year. I transitioned into a sales position and have been successful throughout my career here. I live in Portland OR, can work from home and just won a trip to Hawaii for last year’s performance. The internship was well worth it!

Do you have any future plans that you would like to realise & what are they (career & social)?

For now, I see myself at Forrester. We’ve made quite a few acquisitions and I believe our company is in a good position for large growth. Socially, I’d love to continue to travel, experience new cultures and eventually live abroad again.

Is there any other information that you would like to be included?

Mountbatten was the best! I made some of my best friends through this program and landed a wonderful career. I wouldn’t change a thing.
