Our Process
1. Apply
Upload your resume, submit two work references, share what you hope to achieve on your year in an international city, and pay your application fee.
2. Interview
We’ll assess your application following the deadline for that intake and let you know if we’ll be inviting you to interview with the Mountbatten team. We want to know that you have what it takes to make a life-changing move to a fast-paced business city.
3. Candidate Pool
If you’re a good fit you’ll join the candidate pool, pay your initial deposit, and we’ll start matching you with our host organizations.
4. Placement Process
We work with our host organizations to match the right candidates to their placement opportunities. Host organizations select who they would like to interview based on your resume and professional statement, so it’s down to you to sell yourself and secure your final placement. Brush up on your interview skills and make sure you’re prepared!
5. Apply for Your Visa & Pack Your Bags
Congratulations! You’ve been offered and accepted a placement. We’ll work with you to coordinate your visa paperwork, prepare for your arrival, and ensure a smooth transition from your home country. With your visa in hand, you’ll be ready to spend the next year in one of the world’s great global cities.
Program Fees
Your program fee depends on the option you select for your year abroad. Whichever option you choose it’s split into three instalments – the Application Fee, an Initial Deposit when you enter our candidate pool, and your remaining Program Fee (and Tuition Fee, if applicable) once you are placed with one of our host organizations. For a full list of options and program fees visit our New York and London Programs section.
In return, we pay your rent for the year and provide you with a monthly stipend, health coverage and more. If you are enrolled in an academic program you’ll also have classes throughout the year, walking away with a resume boosting qualification.
