The Mountbatten Institute - New York MBA Programme
Enhance Your Employability
The MBA in international Business Practice begins with you. It focuses on helping you appreciate the international dimensions of business practice and, through a comprehensive programme of study, gain a broader appreciation of the work or industry in which you are engaged.
Part I of your MBA will be undertaken in New York during your internship year and for Part II you complete your studies in Bangkok, Thailand.
A world view
This degree will ask you to take an international perspective and understand the ways in which your business or industry operates within a global economy. In an interdependent world, where cross-cultural understanding is essential at all levels of operations and management, an MBA in International Business Practice will give you the practical skills and knowledge to appreciate the interactions of international business. After a year of evening seminars, weekend sessions and on-line study, you will be challenged as you complete your degree outside your comfort zone, with a term of intensive full-time study in the heart of Asia.
Draw on your experience
The undergraduate study and related work experience that you have accumulated prior to your internship have given you an edge. The Mountbatten Institute will help you translate that edge into an MBA degree which can empower you to move further along your chosen career path in international business. Unlike many conventional MBA courses, which stress a combination of traditional academic study, augmented case-book analysis and structured workplace visits, the Mountbatten Institute gives pride of place to your on-going practical work and asks you to go further and dig deeper into the field or industry in which you have developed your career. Business theory and case-book analysis will remain an important aspect of your studies, but these will be enriched by your own personal experiences and will lead you to develop skills and competencies to engage in a comparative analysis of global business practices.
