Accommodation is provided free of charge. Participants share furnished flats in modern high-rise apartment buildings maintained by the Mountbatten Institute. Our accommodation is located in Newport, NJ, just across the Hudson River from the Financial District in downtown Manhattan and about five minutes walk from the nearest PATH (underground train) station. Journey time to 33rd Street (mid-town Manhattan) is about 20 minutes.

All apartments are self-contained, including cooking facilities, two bathrooms, a spacious lounge, and ample storage space. There are two or three bedrooms accommodating 4-6 per apartment.

Additional services and facilities include a 24-hour doorman, security, a laundry room, intercom, and concierge. Good accommodation in and around New York is very expensive and this provision represents a substantial saving to participants.

All programme participants are required to live in housing provided by Mountbatten Institute. External housing arrangements are not permitted.
