For 25 years, Mountbatten has provided thousands of young graduates with international training in business through its highly acclaimed internship programmes in London and New York. In 1993 Mountbatten developed a Certificate in International Business, validated by the external validation arm of Oxford University and later subsumed by Cambridge University's equivalent external validating body.

In 2003 we incorporated elements from Cambridge International Examinations' (CIE) International Diploma in Management into our Certificate course as part of our academic requirement for interns in New York and London.

Until now, these CIE qualifications have not carried graduate credit either in the UK or the US. In 2008 we secured the validation by a British university of our own Certificate, one accredited as a British postgraduate qualification. Starting in August 2009 the Institute will offer a new qualification as an integral part of the Mountbatten year. This qualification is the Postgraduate Certificate in International Business Practice, validated and awarded by St Mary's University College, London.
