Hedley Bryers MBA and Certificate Lecturer |
Hedley Bryers is a Teaching Consultant at The Birmingham Business School, The University of Birmingham where he has taught a range of MBA & MSc courses, since the foundation of the Business School in 1985. He regularly teaches on the Business School MBA Singapore programme and has also taught in Indonesia, Taiwan, Sri Lanka & Cyprus. In addition he has also taught on MBA programmes in the United Kingdom at other business schools, including Cass Business School in London, Aston Business School and overseas for Hull University Business School. He also teaches in the Post Graduate programmes at the Mountbatten Institute at St Mary's University College, Twickenham, and also for the Nottingham Business School.
His main research interests are European Trade & the EU, the History of International Trade and Global Economics, WTO Trade Economics, UK & European Railfreight, New Trade Theory and international industrial location economics. He has published on International Trade and Project Finance. He has also been interviewed by the BBC on International Trade issues, from time to time.
Hedley started his career in International Trade & Project Finance in the City of London and then became an Export Manager in the Sports Leisurewear industry, before becoming an International Consultant for major MNE's such as Osterreichische Landerbank, ALCOA, Bulmers, Eurofi plc, Porvair plc & NEC Group. For a time he was Chairman of the Textile Group at the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He Graduated in International Trade from the City of London College.
He also runs his own European Marketing Company, QuBit Ltd., representing companies from USA, Brazil, Germany & France. His sectoral specialities are High Performance Computing and Exotic Textile Fibres, High Value Leisurewear and Textile Production Machinery. |

Lise Georgeson MA LLM AMInstLM FHEA Certificate Lecturer |
Lise lived and taught in France for 13 years at the Rouen Graduate School of Management. Whilst in France, she completed her first Masters degree in International and European Law. On returning to the UK, she worked for Richmond, the American International University before joining St Mary's University College to set up the Centre for Workplace Learning in 2002. She has recently completed a second Masters degree in Commercial Law and although her studies and background were initially in Law, she became involved in Management through her research and work experience. In 2004 she took up a full time teaching position as Senior Lecturer on the Management Studies programme at St Mary's. Her specialist teaching areas are Management Consultancy and Leadership and she also teaches General Management and Research Methods. She has recently completed research into Intellectual Property and Copyright and is currently focusing on aspects of Leadership and the development of individual potential in the workplace. Lise is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management. |

Dr. Afam Ituma |
Dr Afam Ituma obtained his MBA from university of Leicester and his PhD degree from Brunel University. He is a member of the British Academy of Management (BAM), Academy of Management (AoM) and Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD). |

Dermot Kelly Certificate Lecturer |
Dermot Kelly graduated from the University of Dublin with an MA degree in Management. He also holds an MSc. in International Business from Birkbeck College (University of London), as well as a Post-graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Brookes University, Oxford. Prior to entering academia, Dermot established a successful management career working for major hospitality companies in the UK, USA, Germany and Ireland.
Dermot’s key area of research and scholarship is knowledge management. In his doctoral research the focus is on how management knowledge is recontextualised as it transfers between the management academy and the field of management practice. Dermot’s main areas of teaching are Strategic Management, International Business, Financial Management and E-commerce. |

Dr. Johanna Lindemann Certificate Lecturer |
Dr. Johanna Lindemann specialises in organisational behaviour and development as well as Human Resources management with practical experience in teaching, training and executive coaching.
She has worked as a consultant helping people with different backgrounds to improve their capabilities and career paths. Dr. Lindemann has acquired in-depth knowledge and expertise in Human Resource management, leadership, the learning organisation and change management.
Dr. Lindemann has obtained a BA (Hons) in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations, an MA in Social Research Methods and a PhD in Management. |

Gail Merrett, MA, MSc Certificate Lecturer |
Gail Merrett has over twenty years experience of managing and developing people, mainly in the University sector. She initially graduated from the University of Wales (BA Hons), later gained her MA (Distinction) in Information Studies from Birmingham City University and more recently her MSc in Management Development and Organisational Change from the University of Bristol (research area: managers' perceptions of organisational values). For over a decade, She was Associate Director (Staff Development and User Education) for the Bodleian Libraries (University of Oxford) which involved a considerable amount of management development and internal consultancy. Since leaving, Gail has continued to work with Oxford University’s Learning Institute, as well as undertaking various other training and academic projects, such as developing modules for an applied management programme at Reading University. Other experience includes module leadership for the MSc Information Management programme (Bristol), coaching and supporting adult literacy learners.
Gail's professional and academic interests are in individual/team development, performance management, organisational values, organisational culture and management learning and development. She is accredited as a teacher in Higher education (PG Cert TLHE), a member of the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI) and a Fellow of the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning (FITOL). |

Norm E. Murray B.A (Hons.) MSc (Distinction) |
Norm is a highly experienced Teacher, Entrepreneur, Psychologist, Strategic Thinker, Advisor, Coach, Guide and Strategist. He advises middle managers to successful CEOs, from community non-profit groups to high performing teams and global organizations. His passions are developing Leaders and Teaching. He is both a Canadian and British national.
After completing degrees in Psychology and Economics, his early career included graduate teaching in Corporate Strategy, Leadership, Change Management, Counselling Psychology, Business Psychology and International Marketing. He also holds an MSc (with Distinction) degree in Management Development and is often invited to guest lecture at various universities on their MBA or other graduate and executive programmes including providing keynote addresses at conferences and seminars internationally.
He was a professionally trained athlete and is a keen golfer. |

Dr Geoff Paul, BSc MBA PhD FHEA MBA and Certificate Lecturer |
Dr Geoff Paul successfully obtained a BSc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering, but moved into the area of Management with the completion of his MBA from Cass Business School.
He has worked as a Management Consultant for numerous oil, gas, energy, water and transportation companies for over ten years. Dr Paul has been involved in the non-profit sector for many years and is currently a Trustee with Victims Support (London) and serves on the Executive Management Team, The Finance Committee and The Due Diligence Committee. He is currently preparing a book on Charity Management. |

Ajai Randhawa MBA Tutor |
Following a distinguished career in business, with the Comcraft Group, where he served as Company Managing Director in Nigeria, Myanmar, UK and Thailand, Mr. Randhawa pursued a second career in academe, as head of Business and Technology at the Thailand campus of Webster University (St. Louis, MO). In addition to running an extremely successful department, he has organized and administered training activities for senior executives in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and India. He is also a master teacher, having taught a range of courses in the Business Faculty.
He has also conducted senior executive development programs at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand & Vietnam. Visiting faculty at BIMTECH, India and guest lecturer in many universities in India, US and South East Asia. Mr. Randhawa graduated from The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (an MIT affiliated institution) and holds an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management in Manila, Philippines. Mr. Randhawa is the Director of Global Education at the Mountbatten Institute and runs part II of the MBA in Bangkok. |

John Ryan |
Professor Ryan is a Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Analysis, University of Venice. Dr Ryan was educated at Oxford University, Cambridge University, London School of Economics, Kiel Institute of World Economics, Germany and University College Dublin, Ireland and INSEAD, France. Topics of recent publications include the Federal Reserve, Basel 2, Commoditization, and the Future Role of the Chinese Currency. Dr Ryan appears regularly in media programmes such as the BBC World Business Report speaking on issues including the EU, U.S. U.K. French and German Economies and Financial Regulation.
Professor Ryan has held Professorships and higher administrative roles at the German Graduate School of Management and Law, Cass Business School and European Business School. Professor Ryan was a Fellow at the Centre for European Studies, Sciences Po, Paris, CRG, Ecole Polytechnique, Paris and Centre for European Studies, Bonn. Professor Ryan has worked at PA Consulting as the Director of the Euro Centre of Excellence in Dublin. He worked on the public and private Euro Changeover programmes. He has been a Visiting Professor at New York University and EDHEC School of Management, Lille, France. |

Selwyn Seymour, BSc, MSc (Econ), PGC MBA and Certificate Lecturer |
Selwyn graduated from SUNY Maritime College with a BSc in Computer Science & Mathematics, before later graduating from the LSE with a(n) MSc (Econ) in Management Information Systems. Selwyn recently completed a PG Certificate in Higher Education Learning & Teaching (Kingston University) and is currently completing a PhD in Management Studies (by research of Technology Agglomeration) at the University of Edinburgh.
His research focuses on the nexus of issues around technological properties such as science, research and technology parks and has supervised a number of postgraduates with similar or compatible research interests. Selwyn also lectures at UCL in Innovation Management.
Prior to joining the Mountbatten Institute, Selwyn lectured in Entrepreneurship and Small Business at Kingston. Previously, he worked as a Project Manager, Operations Manager and Business Consultant in London. His key areas of professional expertise include strategy management, innovation management, business development, information systems, project management and sales & negotiations. |

Peter Wainwright Certificate Lecturer |
Peter Wainwright has an MBA from the Open University in UK, and a BSc in Systems and Management from the City University in UK. He is a business consultant, facilitator and management tutor, and is the director of Askyra Ltd. His experience is mainly in the public sector, with his first career as a Royal Navy seaman officer. Peter is passionate about enhancing the capability of organisations to innovate, and uses systems thinking, creativity and facilitation techniques to address complex issues spanning structures, systems, culture and behaviours. With Mountbatten Institute, he has tutored the post-graduate Certificate course in Managing Teams and Managing Information, and the Managing Knowledge module at MBA level. With the Open University Business School, he teaches Strategy for MBA students, and the Certificate in Management. Peter plays a leading volunteer role in facilitating community improvements, pioneering new methods of citizen involvement, and recently co-led the creation of a new 10 year vision and community strategy, now formally endorsed, for the city of Portsmouth. |
