Emmanuel Adegbite Emmanuel Adegbite
MSc; BSc (Hons)

From a pure science undergraduate background, Emmanuel Adegbite received an MSc degree in International Business from the University of Birmingham in 2006. Emmanuel is currently rounding up his doctoral studies at Cass Business School, London. His thesis is titled "The Determinants of Good Corporate Governance: The Case of Nigeria". His broad research interests include comparative corporate governance systems; institutional configurations of corporate governance in varieties of capitalism; corporate governance in developing countries; corporate governance regulation; corporate social responsibility; and business ethics. He has notable research publications in these areas as well as numerous paper presentations at leading national and international conferences. He currently teaches Entrepreneurship at The American Intercontinental University, London.

Rudi Brown Rudi Brown, MA Cert Ed MA MSc Ph D

Rudi began his career at the Foreign Office in London and has worked in several countries particularly in the UK, Australia, Germany, Thailand and Malaysia. Rudi has substantial experience teaching the MBA in Asia and Europe with particular expertise in marketing and international business. Additionally he has undertaken consultancies particularly in Indonesia and Thailand in the rural areas and with the electronics and auto industry in China. Currently he is an examinar of doctoral studies at a UK and Australian university.

Hedley Bryers Hedley Bryers
MBA and Certificate Lecturer

Hedley Bryers is a Teaching Consultant at The Birmingham Business School, The University of Birmingham where he has taught a range of MBA & MSc courses, since the foundation of the Business School in 1985.  He regularly teaches on the Business School MBA Singapore programme and has also taught in Indonesia, Taiwan, Sri Lanka & Cyprus.  In addition he has also taught on MBA programmes in the United Kingdom at other business schools, including Cass Business School in London, Aston Business School and overseas for Hull University Business School.  He also teaches in the Post Graduate programmes at the Mountbatten Institute at St Mary's University College, Twickenham, and also for the Nottingham Business School.

His main research interests are European Trade & the EU, the History of International Trade and Global Economics, WTO Trade Economics, UK & European Railfreight, New Trade Theory and international industrial location economics.  He has published on International Trade and Project Finance.  He has also been interviewed by the BBC on International Trade issues, from time to time.

Hedley started his career in International Trade & Project Finance in the City of London and then became an Export Manager in the Sports Leisurewear industry, before becoming an International Consultant for major MNE's such as Osterreichische Landerbank, ALCOA, Bulmers, Eurofi plc, Porvair plc & NEC Group.  For a time he was Chairman of the Textile Group at the Chartered Institute of Marketing.  He Graduated in International Trade from the City of London College.

He also runs his own European Marketing Company, QuBit Ltd., representing companies from USA, Brazil, Germany & France.  His sectoral specialities are High Performance Computing and Exotic Textile Fibres, High Value Leisurewear and Textile Production Machinery.

Julie Davies Julie Davies, LLB, BA (Hons), MA, MBA, FCIPD, FHEA
MBA and Certificate Lecturer

Julie Davies graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Russian and English and she is an Open University Law graduate.  Julie also has an MA in Education and an MBA. She is currently researching leadership in business schools for a PhD at Warwick Business School.

Julie's key areas of professional expertise are executive and organisational development.  She teaches on the MSc in HRD and Consultancy at Birkbeck, University of London, and for the Open University Business School’s MBA.  Julie is Head of Research and Development at the Association of Business Schools and a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development.  She is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of Lincoln’s Inn.  She previously worked at City University, UCL, the School of Oriental and African Studies and in the National Health Service.  Julie is a qualified executive coach and a licensed assessor in a range of psychometric instruments.

Stuart Kewley Stuart Kewley
MBA and Certificate Lecturer

Dr. Stuart Kewley, BA (hons), MSc (QUB), Mphil and PhD (Cambridge), is the managing director of the Eurasia Consortium (www.eurasia-ips.com).  Stuart has held numerous academic positions in the fields of International Political Economy (IPE), Strategy and International Business and Globalisation Studies.  He has also undertaken consultancy for a number of businesses and institutions ranging from small-to-medium-sized Chinese manufacturers, to not-for-profit organisations such as the Japan Managers' Association and governmental institutions such as the Tomsk Oblast Regional government and the European Commission.  Before joining the Eurasia Consortium, Stuart was a senior lecturer in International Business at the Bristol Business School, the University of the West of England (UWE).  Before taking up his post at UWE, Stuart was a lecturer in International Business at the Kent Business School, the University of Kent from 2002-2003 and Director of the Postgraduate Diploma Course in European Studies at the University of Oxford's Department for Continuing Education (OUDCE) from 1996-2002.  Whilst at Oxford, Stuart was a Fellow of Kellogg College.  Stuart continues to work with Oxford through Mansfield College and the Europaeum at Oxford and frequently lecturers at the University on European business issues.  Stuart is an adjunct professor at the George Mason University School of Public Policy in Washington and is a visiting Professor at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Regents Business School, Greenwich School of Management and Amiens School of Management to name a few.

His research interests and publications focus on strategy and international trade relations, especially those between Japan and the European Union (EU).  More recently, his research interests have broadened to include trade between China and the EU, managing organisational change in a Global context, global leadership and globalisation.  Stuart has lectured in a number of different European countries including Russia.  He has also lectured in China.

Dr. Gemma McGrath Dr. Gemma McGrath
MBA and Certificate Lecturer

Gemma has worked in various countries, notably, France, Spain, Costa Rica and Peru.  Her love of adventure, communication, management and people led her to become an overland tour leader in Latin America.  She completed an MSc in Tourism at the University of Surrey, doing her dissertation with the Costa Rica Park Service.  Later Gemma worked for the World Tourism Organization in Madrid and then returned to Peru to undertake the fieldwork for her Ph.D on the role of the tour guide in sustainable heritage tourism.  Gemma is on the Editorial Board of Pasos, the Journal of Tourism & Cultural Heritage.  She has considerable experience of pedagogic development at both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and she was recently appointed External Examiner at Bournemouth University.  She is an active writer and has delivered papers at UK and international conferences and contributed to various textbooks and her research interests include regeneration, organizational behaviour and the management of creativity.  Also, she is fascinated the material and visual culture of tourism, film tourism, service quality, cross-cultural communication and conservation.

Geoff Paul Dr Geoff Paul, BSc MBA PhD FHEA
MBA and Certificate Lecturer

Dr Geoff Paul successfully obtained a BSc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering, but moved into the area of Management with the completion of his MBA from Cass Business School.

He has worked as a Management Consultant for numerous oil, gas, energy, water and transportation companies for over ten years.  Dr Paul has been involved in the non-profit sector for many years and is currently a Trustee with Victims Support (London) and serves on the Executive Management Team, The Finance Committee and The Due Diligence Committee.  He is currently preparing a book on Charity Management.

Ajai Randhawa Ajai Randhawa
MBA Tutor

Following a distinguished career in business, with the Comcraft Group, where he served as Company Managing Director in Nigeria, Myanmar, UK and Thailand, Mr. Randhawa pursued a second career in academe, as head of Business and Technology at the Thailand campus of Webster University (St. Louis, MO).  In addition to running an extremely successful department, he has organized and administered training activities for senior executives in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and India.  He is also a master teacher, having taught a range of courses in the Business Faculty.

He has also conducted senior executive development programs at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand & Vietnam.  Visiting faculty at BIMTECH, India and guest lecturer in many universities in India, US and South East Asia.  Mr. Randhawa graduated from The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (an MIT affiliated institution) and holds an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management in Manila, Philippines.  Mr. Randhawa is the Director of Global Education at the Mountbatten Institute and runs part II of the MBA in Bangkok.
