Much will be required of you during this semester and having a quiet and comfortable living space was an important criterion for us when we established the Asia/Pacific Programme. Our living arrangements should offer a level of privacy and comfort that is not available in the more work-oriented internship programmes in New York and London. Your hard work and dedication to both your company and your academic obligations on Part I will be rewarded when you arrive in Asia.

We strive to offer each intern a single comfortably furnished room, some in large shared apartments (no more than two to a two-bedroom apartment) or in single studio apartments. All are furnished to very good standard and come with cable TV and internet access, all of which is included. Our apartments are located near quick and reliable transportation and therefore are within easy access to the university and the Mountbatten Institute office. Apartments are fully air-conditioned and the Institute will pay your electricity bill. There is a surcharge, however, for those who use excessive electricity. The apartments are all self-catering, although lunch is provided at the university during lecture and class days. The Programme also provides transportation passes. Security is provided in each apartment building and students are required to sign in guests and visitors.
