Patricia Arttachariya Patricia Arttachariya, PhD

Dr. Arttachariya received her MA in Business Communications from the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and her PhD in HR/Organisation behaviour from the University of Warwick, UK. Dr. Arttachariaya is a Guest Lecturer in Managing Change: Organization Behavior and Human Resource Management for the AIC/Mountbatten MBA. Her university posts include the PhD in Business Administration Program Director, for the School of Management, at Assumption University, Bangkok and she has been the Chair of the Thesis Committee. She teaches HRM, OB, Tourism, Management, and Consumer Behaviour, and Case study dynamics. Dr. Arttachariya acts as a Thesis Supervisor for the Doctoral Program in Business at the University of Southern Australia and the University of Pretoria (DBA) in South Africa. She is a Resource Person for Asian Institute of Technology Extension Programs – Leadership and Team Building.

Dipinder Singh Dipinder Singh, PhD

Dr. Singh graduated with an MA in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and gained his PhD in Finance from Syracuse University, NY. Dr. Singh is a Visiting Lecturer for the seminars in Political and Economic Developments in the Asia Pacific Region. He currently teaches at and works for The National University of Singapore as a Fellow in the Saw Center for Financial Studies. He has been a visiting faculty member at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, the State University of New York and Syracuse University, New York. He has taught MBA courses in International Financial Management, Managerial Economics, Corporate Finance, World Business Systems, International Trade and Investments. Dr. Singh has also worked as a consultant for the Dow Corning Corporation, the Syracuse General Executive Development Program, the Association of Corporate Treasurers, Singapore, and the Singapore Armed Forces.

Tang Zhimin Tang Zhimin, PhD

Dr. Tang Zhimin gained his PhD from the Faculty of Economics, of Cambridge University and is currently the programme chair in Marketing & Management and Entrepreneurship Management at Mahidol University, Bangkok. He is a Guest Lecturer for the seminars in Political and Economic Developments in the Asia Pacific Region. Dr. Tang is an expert on China and has taught courses in economics, international business management, research methods, quantitative analysis and decision-making. His seminars concentrate on China, Hong Kong and Thailand.

M K Balaji M K Balaji

M K Balaji gained his BSc in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India and graduated with an MBA in International Business from Webster University, Bangkok. He is an Adjunct Professor teaching graduate and business classes at Webster. He will teach the Operations and Supply Chain Management seminars for the AIC/Mountbatten MBA.

Much of Mr. Balaji’s professional experience has been with Thermax Ltd., a global leader in energy and engineering solutions. In 2006 has established Asia Energy Concepts Co., Ltd., a company focused on developing renewable energy projects, in particular BOT (Build – Operate – Transfer) solutions.

He has extensive experience of working in both India and Thailand in P&L Operations management, startups, turnarounds, project management, strategic planning and business development.

Ajai Randhawa Ajai Randhawa

Mr. Randhawa gained his BE Mechanical in Chemical and Electronic Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, India and graduated with an MBA in Finance and Corporate Strategy from the Asian Institute of Management, Manila.

His professional career includes 25 years for senior management with manufacturing companies (particularly metal products) in Nigeria, Burma, UK and Thailand and including start-up operations across Asia. In 2005 Mr. Randhawa joined Webster University Thailand as Head of the Business & Technology Department. He thus has experience of all aspects of operational business practice as well as leading an academic department and teaching undergraduate and graduate students.

Mr. Randhawa joined Mountbatten Institute in 2006 and is currently Education Director for Asia. He teaches MBA seminars in the three centres, and oversees the academic programme in Bangkok.

Rachel Davis Rachel Davis, PhD

Dr. Rachel Davis is Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore Business School, where she teaches Asia-Pacific Business in the UCLA-NUS Executive MBA and the Asia-Pacific Executive MBA and MBA programs.

She was one of three founders of EduMetry, Inc. and Chief Knowledge Officer of the company (January 2006 – July 2008), based in Bangalore, India. EduMetry is a learning-outcomes consulting company which works with universities in the United States and Asia.

She was Associate Professor in the Department of Business Policy at the National University of Singapore Business School, from 1995 to 2006. During this time she was also Vice-Dean and Director of the MBA & Executive MBA Programs, NUS School of Business, 2000-2002. Dr. Davis started her academic career as a Business-School professor at the Stern School of Business, New York University, 1988–1995, where she was also the Undergraduate Director for International Business, 1991-93. After leaving Stern, Dr. Davis moved to the National University of Singapore, where she taught in the areas of Strategy and International Business in the PhD, MBA and Executive MBA programs.

An Indian citizen, Dr. Davis received her MA in International Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She later received her MBA and PhD in Corporate Strategy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA.

James D Marchbank James D Marchbank

James is a MBA graduate of Columbia University, New York and gained his BS Marketing from South West Missouri State University.

His teaching career includes leading seminars for Columbia University and since 2008 Jim has lectured at Fontbonne University St. Louis, MO, teaching Master and Undergraduate students on the Human Resources, Marketing, Capsim and Business courses. In 2009 Jim was selected for the First Teaching Fellows Program sponsored by the Center for Excellence in Teaching at Fontbonne University.

Jim’s professional career includes working for Exxon (1967-74) and for International Paper (1975-81) as Personal and General Manager. In 1981 he started his own company, Available Communications and at an early stage invested in computerised equipment. The company grew to be one of the top 25 worldwide contractors for the US Postal Service.

Salil K Sen Dr. Salil K Sen

Dr. Sen was awarded his PhD in 2006 by the Asian Institute of Technology, School of Management, Bangkok. He also holds an MBA, with a focus in International Marketing and Operations, from the University of Delhi and a BE (Mech) from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India.

Prior to his teaching career, Dr. Sen worked with engineering and export companies in India and Nigeria. He has been involved with United Nations projects in sustainability in the context of climate change including UNESCO (Bangkok), UNESCAP (Bangkok, Almaty, Beijing) and UNEP.

Dr. Sen’s teaching roles have included Visiting Fellow at the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing (2007/8), Assistant Professor at the MIILM Centre for Management, New Delhi and, more recently as an Adjunct Professor with Bangkok universities working on the application of the Practice of Sustainability. Dr. Sen has written papers for journals and conferences and his article, “Societal, Environmental and Stakeholder Drivers of Competitive Advantage in International Firms” was recognized in the “All Time Top Ten” by the Social Science Research Network.

Jeff Simcox Jeff Simcox

Jeff graduated with a BA (Hons) in Law from the National Council for Academic Awards, UK and was awarded his Master of Law (LLM Hons) by the same institution. He also holds the ACMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK) and the Dip M MCIM from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Currently Jeff is completing his MSc in Accounting from Northampton University, UK.

He is an international Consultant and an Adjunct Professor with 30 years of experience in managing operations in the Far East, North America and Europe. From 2001 to 2006, Jeff was Northern Asia Regional Director for the Welsh Development Agency, leading successful market breakthroughs in Korea and Taiwan. In all, he worked for the Agency from 1995 to 2006, including in North America.

Jim’s teaching experience includes that of Visiting Lecturer for the MSc in International Management at Lefke University, Cyprus (Turkey) and Rouen University, France.

His academic teaching includes courses in international management, international Human Resource Management, Finance and Marketing.

Mary Jane Koontz Dr. Mary Jane Koontz

Dr. Koontz gained her Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) Marketing from Golden Gate University, San Francisco in 2006. Her MBA was awarded by the University of South Carolina and her BSc by the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, Washington DC.

Dr. Koontz’s early career included trade and marketing posts in Japan (1987-89) and as a US AID Fellow conducting environmental audits in Bangkok (1994). Since 1992 she has worked for Pacific Creations, a market research, medical research, social media marketing and software and its clients include IBM Global Services, Wells Fargo, USAID and Applied Biosystems.

Together with her business career Dr. Koontz has taught as an Adjunct Professor, Marketing and International Business at Golden Gate University since 1999. The courses include those in Marketing, Consumer Behaviour and International Business Research.

DK Bakshi DK Bakshi

DK Bakshi is a well known HRD professional with a key focus on people development, specializing in core organisational development to, “build people for their personal and professional success”. He gained his MBA and PhD, specializing in Human Resources, from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, India.

Mr. Bakshi’s business experience includes some 26 years working with international companies, most recently as Vice President Global Human Resources with Indorama Group, Bangkok, supervising three continents. Currently he runs his own company Global Talent Consultants, in Bangkok, focusing on education and HR initiatives. He is also Executive Director of the Indian Thai Chamber of Commerce.

DK Baskhi is a regular speaker at various conferences and has written about 500 articles on various aspects of management. He has developed his own training modules including “Roadmap to Success”, “Employee Engagement and Excitement” and “Building Passionate, Powerful Teams for Business Excellence”.

Vinod Lall Vinod Lall, PhD, CSCP

Vinod Lall is a professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management in the School of Business at Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) with teaching responsibilities in supply chain management, operations management, management science, project management and management information system.

He has been involved in offering a graduate course in logistics and supply chain management to US Navy personnel through the department of Engineering Management at Old Dominion University (ODU) and every Fall Semester teaches an EMBA course in Operations Management for American University Bulgaria (AUBG) at the Elieff Center in Sofia, Bulgaria. Other recent international teaching assignments at the graduate level have taken him to Ecuador, India and Thailand. Previously, he taught online courses for Kaplan College.com, a division of The Washington Post and currently coordinates the online offering of an MBA course on Project, Operations and Information Systems Management for University of Maryland University College (UMUC).

In August 2006, Vinod earned a certified supply chain professional (CSCP) by APICS, The American Society for Operations Management. His recent research activities have focused on the application of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) for selection decisions and the application of the Six Sigma methodology to services and transactional data. He has an active research agenda and published three peer reviewed journal articles in 2009.
